The "European Stadium of Culture 2014-2020" concert was held on 27 June 2014 in Rzeszów. Each edition of the concert is an extraordinary spectacle gathering thousands of spectators live and in front of TV sets. The only music festival of this kind broadcasted on television. The continuation of the proven formula of collectives, i.e. original duets of Polish and foreign stars, is a special attraction of this unique event. Among the artists creating unusual musical mergers appeared among others:
Arto Tunçboyacıyan - winner of the award - plays with the greatest stars such as System of a Down, Al Di Meola, Chet Baker, etc.; Mad Heads - Ukrainian rock legend;
Idan Raichel - Israeli musician recognized as one of the most fascinating artists of world music by journalists Billboard Magazine and others.
Due to the conflict in Eastern Europe, the concert was dedicated to people who died in Ukraine fighting for the freedom of their nation. The European Culture Stadium was the first large Polish concert under the slogan "Solidarity with Ukraine". The biggest stars of the Polish and European music scene were
invited to take part in the show. The
main goal of this edition of the festival was to present the greatest hits from Poland and the Eastern Partnership Countries, thus creating a unique connection between Polish music and that from other parts of the world. In the concert they created duos: Kayah and Idan Raichel, Jamal and The Toobes, Emptiness and Mad Heads,
Misia Ff and Mr. Avant-Garde Folk Arto Tuncboyaciyan,
Mela Koteluk and Lena Kaufman/Lunivers,
and T Love, White Lies, Haydamaky and Dj Cai Caslavinieri, Joanna Słowińska, Taraka.
Unusual visualizations referring to freedom were created by an outstanding artist - graphic artist Łukasz Rusinek.
